12 Sep Hormones, healing cliffs, and hot sauce
💌 Notes from Natalie
Hey Hey!!
Last week I was in San Diego and let me just say… Torrey Pines still has my heart 🥰

Fun fact: when I lived there I hiked it almost daily for 20 years. It was the thing I was most worried about missing when I moved to Arizona, and yep, it is what I still miss the most. So I went back every single day.
🌊 Those cliffs, the ocean breeze, the views, the weather… it is just pure reset. There is something healing about being in that spot, like nature’s version of therapy. Have you been there!? It is Just WOWWWW!
🌵 Now I am back in Phoenix where it is only 100 instead of 120. That is what we call “a cool summer” here. Not Torrey Pines, but I am back walking and it feels good to be moving again.

🎙️ On the Podcast
Last week’s solo hormone deep dive really hit home with so many of you (thank you for all the feedback!). If you missed it, you can listen HERE.
This week I ALSO released an interview with my own personal doctor going even deeper on hormones that you can listen to HERE.
Fun fact: I actually recorded that one before my solo, but flipped the release order.
🍳 Breakfast Obsession: Eggs + Pico de Gallo
I have been keeping it simple in the mornings with eggs drizzled in olive oil, topped with homemade Pico de Gallo, and a side of fresh berries. It is quick, fresh, and fits my way of eating perfectly. If you are new here and want the whole framework of how I eat, I highly suggest starting with The 7 Day Jump Start™.

Here is my Pico recipe (so easy):
4 ripe tomatoes, diced
1/2 red onion, finely chopped
1 jalapeño, seeds removed and finely diced
1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
Juice of 1 lime
Sea salt to taste
Mix it all up, let it sit for 10 minutes, and spoon generously over your eggs.
Chef’s kiss 💋
👀 My Midlife “Duh” Moment
So here is a laugh for you. I could not figure out why I had this bruised, tender feeling about two inches above my incision from back surgery. Naturally, I did what any rational adult would do.
I researched every deadly scenario on Google.
After convincing myself it was probably something catastrophic, it finally hit me… I had been injecting BPC157 in that exact spot for almost six weeks post-surgery. Yep, same spot over and over.
Note to self (and to you): if we are injecting anything, move it around to different areas of the body. Woops. 🤣 I am done with the BPC now since it was just for recovery, but that tenderness can definitely linger.
Till next week!
