Hi Everybody! – I can’t tell you how many times a day I get asked about my Abs! It’s always, is it your genetics, is it because you spend 8 hours a day at the gym, and some people even ask if they are airbrushed!?

Well for those of you interested, NO it isn’t genetics, NO I don’t spend 40 hours a week working out, and NO NO NO, I certainly don’t airbrush them, the truth is I follow a couple little secrets to get and keep my abs looking the way they do. so admitting that it is not genetics is very, very difficult. And the fact that they are lying to themselves doesn’t hit them all at once. After all, most people have tried dieting. They’ve done sit-ups and crunches for years. The only thing they managed to do was trim their waistline by about an inch, may be two at the most. But not a single ab muscle in sight. Their clothes are always uncomfortable on them. And they are always uncomfortable and self-conscious at the beach or at the pool. In essence, they are a prisoner in their own body. Their mind wanted something, at least they believed; their body could never give them.

How do I do it? First, I embraced the one truth that hardly anyone knows or will tell you about getting lean abs. It’s going to blow your mind. Here it is. The best ab exercise in the world is no ab exercise. Now, that may come as a total shock to you. There is a time and place for ab exercises, done correctly for sure. But you see the start of your abs long before you ever do a crunch or leg raise.

If you train your abs directly too much, you are just going to build the muscles underneath your layer of fat. Now, that’s great if you want a bigger stomach and that’s not what most of us want. Not only that, but direct ab exercises can cause your body to go into a state of what we call overtraining. This wears you out and causes you to dread going to the gym or working out. These infomercials and ab machines are completely worthless to you. Ignore them, and do not be deceived by the good looking fitness models on these infomercials. I can tell you what you already know, which is that these fitness models do not get their great bodies with that piece of crap infomercial machine that they are hawking. They got their bodies by living a fitness lifestyle with real workouts, great nutrition, and an awesome mindset!

Three, despite what you may hear from most trainers and fitness magazines, hours and hours of boring cardio will not help you.
