The campaign is designed around getting YOU to take action by getting a “start” of your own! Hmmm . . . Where else have you heard somebody talk about “taking action”?

So it doesn’t matter where you are, or what level you are at, you just need to START something new that is challenging for YOU!

It’s about getting out of our comfort zones and stepping up to a challenge, ANY challenge!

Since Kohl’s and Under Armour know that getting started is the hardest part, they REALLY sweetened the deal for this challenge!

Not only is Under Armour workout gear for the entire family now available at Kohl’s but they want to get YOU and your family to make a “start” of your own.

To make things EASIER for you, and so YOU can get a “start” of your own this week.

All you have to do is TRY the bear crawl (I am going to show you how to do it below) and then share it to Twitter and/or Instagram and tag @Kohls and #BearCrawlChallengeSweepstakes and you could win up to $1000 in prizes!

Kohl’s is putting up a $1000 gift card for the grand prize, and 10 runner up winners will receive a $100 gift card.   Pretty sweet for simply taking the bear crawl challenge!

Sooooo, Let’s Do a Bear Crawl

Select a place to do it! You can do it indoors or outdoors, and you really don’t need a ton of space.  If you can get outdoors, do it!  But if not, a hallway indoors works perfectly.

My intention was to do it at the BEACH, but the high tide that was pushing all the way to the cliffs had me looking for an alternative.

My Under Armour gear kept me warm until workout time!

Dagnabbit, I was READY TO GO and do some bear crawling on the beach!

When I told my husband about this challenge, he chuckled as he shared memories of bear crawling for hours on the beach when he was in the military, so I was looking forward to getting a taste of what that was like.

The beach was not cooperating, so I got creative and decided to use the platforms and the steps leading to the beach

It was time to get a “start” of my own.  So I peeled off my new Under Armour sweatshirt since the sun was shining, and I was ready to get my sweat on!

Time For ACTION!  How to Do the Bear Crawl:

Here is how you do a bear crawl:

Step 1:  GET LOW! Start with your hands under your shoulders and your knees under your hips.

Step 2:  Get moving!  You can move same side hand and foot forward or move hand and foot from opposite sides at the same time.

You will literally crawl like a BEAR, hence the name

Try it with same hand/foot and opposite hand/foot, and see which works better for you!

 

They key is to stay LOW, keep your back straight, and crawl forward or backward!

It is a FULL-BODY workout and really gets those arms and shoulders toned up!

Do as many as you CAN!  You will feel these!

I did about 20 of them in each direction and then took advantage of my new Under Armour outfit, the sunshine, and the perfect ocean view to take a fun pose with the camera
