My Healthy Butter Coffee Recipe

Healthy Butter Coffee Recipes Just For You!

So it may have taken me 44 years to enjoy coffee more than green tea in the mornings, but now, I SERIOUSLY can’t function without it!! Not even kidding. If you follow me on Snapchat, you already know this!  Every time I do a Facebook LIVE, a ton of you ask me to share my coffee recipe. SO here you are…my healthy butter coffee recipes!

But first… before the recipes… some questions about this:

Can I drink this coffee if I am trying to lose weight?

YES – As long as you are having this as part of a balanced diet, absolutely! Just make sure you are factoring in the fat and protein in these coffee drinks into your daily ratios. If you are following my Jump Start Programs or Stronger Program you can count this as your PROTEIN and FAT for that meal. You will still want to add a carb to complete your meal. I usually add some fruit on the side as mine.

What is Ghee or clarified butter?

Ghee is butter AFTER the liquid residue is removed. It is prepared by simmering butter, and removing the liquid residue. Ghee is a TYPE of  “clarified butter” and is the ‘best’ part of butter.

Ghee is traditionally used in Indian cuisine. Regular butter contains butterfat, milk solids and water. Ghee, is JUST the butter fat. Ghee has many health benefits that make it healthier than butter and it has a bit of a “sweet” taste. It also tastes AMAZING in my morning coffee drinks!
