I don’t like your music, your hair, your dog, whatever…

Have you seen my 15 second facebook or instagram videos? Every day on Instagram (which I link to my facebook) I share a short 15 second instagram video clip with some exercises you can do at home with limited time, using mainly your own body weight. I have gotten some interesting questions about these videos so I thought I would share some answers with you here 🙂

Why are the videos just 15 seconds?

Instagram only allows 15 second clips so that is all I got! I had to pick what would be the best way to share a lot of info in a short amount of time and have found that doing a quick 2-3 second demo of each with a brief description underneath is what works best.

Can you give more instruction on your videos?

Natalie Jill Fit InstagramI do the best I can with limited characters, video space and time (remember, I do these for FREE everyday!) I DO now have some things to help you if you want longer workouts and more instruction.

I have started focusing on my YouTube Channel (YEY!) finally. I have committed to uploading and sharing 2 new videos per week based on what you all are looking for. There is a mix between how to’s, workouts, nutrition tips and interviews. You can check them ALL OUT right HERE .

Why are you always smiling in your videos?

I had surgery a few months ago to permanently hold my face in a smile and I can’t undo it.

Yes I am kidding…about the surgery!   But yes, I do get that question a lot!

Are you a HAPPY person? Do you want to be? And Do you SMILE?

Before you answer those things let me also ask you this… Do you like the energy of happy smiling people or of those that are never smiling and never really “happy?” When you are around happy people does it make YOU happier?

I learned a long time ago that surrounding myself with happy people makes me happier and keeps me in a more positive state of mind. I also learned that when I smile, it makes me FEEL happier and it keeps the people around me happier. Don’t believe me ? TRY IT. That is why I SMILE .

Who films you?

Bean of course! Ha! Well actually, it depends on the day. Sometimes I set the camera up myself (I just use my iphone and prop it Natalie Jill fit wall workoutup on some pillows and press that big red square.)

Some days my assistant films my clips, sometimes I rope my boyfriend into it, and sometimes I use BEAN! Don’t believe me? See for yourself HERE.

Now when I do my professional videos, I DO use a film crew for those.  Sometimes they don’t like it very much, as I put them to work (literally) and they have to workout with me 🙂 Take a look HERE.

How do you edit your videos, add music, etc..

I love my iphone and I love apps! I have several apps that I use to edit and add music. My two favorites are Videoshop and PicPlayPost. They are fun to use and I LIKE editing the short ones.

How many workout outfits to you own?

One million. Something interesting happens when you have people watching your stuff everyday…you start getting free things 🙂  Yes, it is a nice perk, but I have my favorites and I turn away a lot at this point. There are only so many workout bottles, gloves, and leggings a girl can use. I do get a lot of things sent to me, but I really only share the products that are my favorites.

Why didn’t you answer my question?  Why did you delete my comment?

If I didn’t answer your question, don’t take it personal.  Odds are, I didn’t see it.

Here is the thing – it is impossible for me to see every single comment and question on every single social media post, thread, forum etc…. I would LOVE to, but it is just impossible.

I read over comments as I can and I always do my best to answer back. I DO have some amazing people working with me that do help me moderate sometimes, but we can’t always get to every question or comment, and I am sorry.

If you did leave a comment that was deleted there is a very specific reason.  I deleted your comment because you were either mean, profane, negative, inappropriate, or you personally attacked myself or another person.

I won’t respond to those ever and chances are I may not even see it because they typically get deleted before I review them 🙂  Be nice, be polite, and at some point, you WILL get a response.

Also, have you ever heard “praise in public, reprimand in private”?  In the off chance you have an issue of some sort the comment threads are not the place for ‘customer support’ questions.  Contact support through the website for stuff like that, and they will take care of you!

Do you workout all day ever day?

Yes.

Are you kidding about that last question?

Yes. Of course I do NOT workout all day every day.  I am ACTIVE most days, but I do my focused intense workouts 4 days a week and they take up to 45 minutes.  On all other days I am ACTIVE (walks, hikes, light yoga, etc.) but my focused intense workouts are 4 times a week.

Do you only do body weight workouts?

I do PRIMARILY body weight workouts. The exercises I share ARE exercises that I do. I am a fan of training functionally and using your OWN body weight and progressing. I DO use weights sometimes but usually for things like goblet squats (what is in 12 week super shred), and sled pulls (I put weight on the sled).
