What to eat pre workout!

In the broadcast I mentioned several different things I do

First I have some fast acting carbs and fast absorbing protein pre workout. This is the time that I don’t have fats. I am a huge fan of fat in my diet, but pre workout I don’t want to slow down the nutrients from the carbs and proteins absorbing.

Whey Protein is a very high quality protein which is also digested VERY quickly. It is great first thing in the morning, before & after workout, or when you need to bump up the protein content of a meal. Ideally, I suggest drinking a 1/2 of a scoop of whey pre and post workout with a simple piece of fruit such as an apple. This gives your muscles the ideal nutrients to get through tough workouts and help your body repair itself afterwards. Another huge benefit of whey is it helps to blunt your hunger which is terrific – ESPECIALLY useful when you get those food cravings!

I mentioned a few supplements I do take in addition to my whey and orange drink.

Over the years I have  encountered SO MANY bad supplements and wasted so much money on “suggestions” that I have become very untrusting of ads and endorsers promoting the “latest and greatest”. However, I do believe many supplements can have a place but for the right reasons in ADDITION to a healthy diet and being active.

What I look for in a supplement company
