Vegas in My 50s… It’s a Whole ThingI just got back from Vegas earlier this week and wow… It was ½ for business and ½ for me and Brooks 10 year anniversary! TEN YEARS! Dang time flies!
I had fun but I also needed a nap, a hydration IV, and a sage cleanse for my nervous system.
Vegas in my 20s? I was thriving. Vegas in my 50s? I’m strategizing. 😂
My thoughts on Vegas?
💗 10 Ways Vegas Hits Different in My 50s vs My 20s 💗

Then: Heels so high I lost circulation Now: Give me wedges… or sneakers… or just Uber me back to my room.
Used to love the chaos, the lights, the noise Now: I need recovery protocols for LED exposure, secondhand smoke, and music over 30 decibels.
Then: I hit the club Now: I hit 10K steps walking to dinner and back. Same sweat, different story.
Used to say yes to every invite Now: I ghost like a Vegas illusionist by 8:59pm. ✌🏼
Back then: Buffets and late-night pizza Now: “Is this grass-fed? Gluten-free? Anti-inflammatory?”
Then: Lived for the action Now: Give me quiet rooms, filtered air, and a room with a window that actually opens.
Used to bounce back from zero sleep Now: If I miss my bedtime window… don’t talk to me until Thursday.
Then: Makeup meltdown was just part of the night Now: Strategically sweat-proofed, layered, and armed for the dry air + hot flash sneak attacks.
Then: Screaming over the DJ Now: “Can we find somewhere quiet so I can actually hear what you’re saying?”
And… If you think you saw me out late… no you didn’t.That was a hologram. I was in bed. Face masked. Legs elevated. 😴
What I craved the minute I got home?
